As part of our ongoing efforts to create a safe and secure network, anyone using the campus network is required to register their computer before gaining access to the network. Your computer will be scanned for known vulnerabilities. If your system is found to be susceptible to internet viruses and related malicious software you will be asked to install patches to your operating system and/or update your virus definition files before you can use the College network. Click this link to learn more about the Campus Manager.

Learning to effectively use our information resources is a key factor to your success at Franklin & Marshall. We have available a series of instructional QuickTime movies which demonstrate important issues for using our Campus network and its associated software.

The F&M Network Installer, available on the download page, will set up Apple Mail for use on campus.

Passwords Are Important!

When you first arrive at Franklin & Marshall, you are assigned a 'unified' password which is assigned to your accounts on the following systems: Email, myDiplomat, eDisk, & the Virtual Private Network (VPN). Changing this unified password, changes your password for all those services.

Unified Password Change

If you forget your unified password, please visit the Help Desk (MLS 037) in person with your Franklin & Marshall ID.

The primary exception is Blackboard -- it has a separate password system.
